About eight years ago I received a call from Randy Cramer asking if I
could fill in with his band at the St. Luke’s Block Party in
Stroudsburg. I had heard a lot of great things about the Cramer Brothers
Band, but had never actually seen them perform.
I must say I was blown away by the
musicianship, professionalism, and overall talent of this band. In fact,
I remember telling a friend who came with me that day, that if I ever
got the chance to join a band like that I’d jump at the chance.
Well as fate or luck would have it,
I got a call from Randy a few weeks later saying that the position was
available. I can truly say that I didn’t even have to give it a second
thought; and it has been a pleasure to be a part of the CBB for the last
eight years.
However, this year I’ve decided to
change direction and not commit to one band. I’ll be doing some fill in
jobs with various bands in the area (including the Cramer Brothers)
and spending more time working in my home studio.
To Randy, Ray, Bill, Allen, Jimmy, Roy, RJ, and Alan:
You guys are simply the best; both as musicians and friends. We’ve made
some great music and have had a lot of great times over the years, and
I’m looking forward to the times when we’ll get to play together again.
To Rick, Guy, Kathy, and Dale:
Thank you again for all that you have done; and continue to do for the
CBB.
To all the Cramer Brothers fans:
A big thank you for all your support and friendships; and I hope to see
you somewhere over the summer!
